The New England Patriots finished the 2014 regular season with a record of 12-4, winning their division and conference as well as gaining home field advantage for the playoffs. After securing a bid in the Super Bowl by defeating the Indianapolis Colts, the Patriots traveled to Arizona to face the Seattle Seahawks. Led by quarterback Tom Brady, New England won the game by a score of 28-24. Brady threw for 37 completions, breaking the record previously held by Peyton Manning. In addition, he added four touchdowns to his career Super Bowl total (now 13), which surpassed the previous mark set by Joe Montana. Brady has appeared in six Super Bowls, an NFL record, and he has received MVP honors in half of them.
