About Ellen Griggs

A former financial services senior executive with over 30 years of experience at prominent firms such as Bankers Trust, Paine Webber, NEPC and Strong Capital Management, Ellen Griggs currently utilizes her management, marketing, and investment strategy skills as a board member for a diverse range of organizations. Continuing to lend insight and leadership within the financial services industry, Ellen Griggs currently serves on the Boards of Directors for alternative investment management firm Evanston Capital and the wealth management private trust company, Market Street Trust Company. At Evanston Capital Ellen Griggs plays a key role in shaping the vision and objectives of the enterprise, while at Market Street she Chairs the Compensation Committee and serves on the Investment and Nominating/Governance Committees. Additionally, she supports effective governance and strategy of investment reporting tools provider InvestorForce as a member of the organization’s Advisory Board.

Further, along with the other members of the Boston Medical Center Philanthropic Trust Board, Ellen Griggs plans fundraising and community outreach initiatives that support the continued operation of New England’s largest safety-net hospital. As a member of the Board of Overseers Executive Committee for the nonprofit New England Aquarium in Boston, Massachusetts, she helps guide the activities of an institution that performs vital marine conservation research while receiving 1.3 million visitors each year.

Prior to her retirement, Ellen Griggs served as Chief Operating Officer for Cambridge, Massachusetts-based investment advisory firm NEPC, LLC. Leading a company that managed $600 billion in assets, she oversaw a team of 60 personnel and drove a restructuring of the company that resulted in business growth and increased profitability.
